ELO English Language Services (ELOELS) is an educational service provider who is dedicated to helping students improve their English language skills by offering programs to accommodate their English language needs. Our programs include English Study Tours (English immersion summer camps) in Canada and England and online English tutoring for both students and adults.

This is Our Story

Our CEO, Robert McDonald, first began organizing school group study tours while teaching in Hong Kong. Some years later he formed ELO (English Language Outreach Ltd.). Since then, there has been a consistent drive to enhance the educational features and overall travel experience.

Today

ELO has now rebranded to ELO English Language Services Ltd. (ELOELS) and continues to grow and discover new opportunities for its international communities. Expanding into Online Tutoring, the team is excited to continue making a difference in English learning for students around the world.

Year after year, students tell us that they have experienced significant improvement in listening, speaking, writing and reading English. This is the ELOELS difference – we put the joy back into learning and the results stand for themselves. Our head office is in Saskatoon, Canada.

2000
The First Trip
Our founder Robert McDonald organized his first English study tour (summer camp) to Canada (Prince Albert, SK)
2002
A New Home
Summer camps moved to Saskatoon and the University of Saskatchewan. Curriculum was revamped to include aspects relevant to the TSA, SBA and HKDSE public examinations for Hong Kong students.
2010
Welcome to Hong Kong
In 2012, English Language Outreach Ltd. (ELO) was launched as a new educational service in Hong Kong and had its first English Outreach Camp, bringing students from Canada to Hong Kong.
2013
University Student Teaching Program
In May, 2013, ELO launched its first university student teaching program in Hong Kong, bringing Canadian university students studying in the College of Education, and placing them into Hong Kong secondary schools. ELO also brought Hong Kong students to Saskatoon, Canada.
2016
Vancouver Camp
ELO opened up its second summer camp location in Vancouver, Canada .
2017
England Camp
ELO launched its first summer camp in Canterbury, England.
2018
England Expansion
ELO expanded its summer camps in England with camps in Brighton, Oxford and Ramsgate/Canterbury.
2020
COVID Closure
COVID caused a global pandemic and ELO was forced to close down all of its operations.
2022
Launch of ELOELS
ELOELS was born and summer camps were re-activated.
2023
Post-Covid
July 2023, ELOELS had its first summer camp post-COVID in Saskatoon, Canada.
2024
Education Online
February 2024, the company launched its online English tutoring programs and editing services to the public.
